115 Pound Division Coming Soon in UFC

“It’ll happen. I don’t know (how soon),” This is what UFC president Dana White said in an interview.

“(But) we’re going into Asia, Mexico, going into South America – and traditionally, they’re all smaller guys,” he added.

The clamour coming from MMA fans to include the 115 pound class in the UFC may finally end as White said that he will look into it. Some fans however believes that there might not be enough talent for this class.

But with the rate that the UFC is going, it is no longer surprising to see fans from the Philippines, Mexico, Japan, Singapore also increasing. Basically fighters from these countries are relatively small, think Manny Pacquiao, Nonito “The Flash” Donaire, all Filipinos, and are smaller as compared to Western boxers but can still reap followers.

Of course with the exception of some big Asian fighters like Mark Munoz, all the rest may excel in the smaller weight class.
