After the UFC welterweight contender lost to the current UFC welterweight champion George St.Pierre, Nick Diaz has reportedly thought of hanging his gloves once again.
According to sources, Diaz’s may not be bluffing and his retirement vow will stick this time around. This is after an official at the California State Athletic Commission said that the MMA fighter has begun processing all necessary requirements needed to be a promoter in the state of California.
Allegedly, Diaz will put up a promotion called the WAR Mixed Martial Arts, but CSAC officials said that it would take time and a lot of requirements before Diaz could launch his own promotion. Aside from the license, Diaz needs to show financial statements and an article of incorporation, the commission added.
