Holly Holm has recently closed her boxing career on high note, defeating Mary McGee by a resounding unanimous decision at Route 66 Casino Saturday.
As a female pro boxer, Holm has a 33-2-3 record and was a 14 time, three division world champion. Except for boxing purist, her promoter wants her to fully migrate to the world of Mixed martial arts.
At first the champ was still thinking things over and does not want to rush things, but after she won over McGee, she is going to transition into MMA, and this time for good.
Her promoter is looking for a showdown against top female MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. Rousey did not give any comment about this.
Holm made her MMA debut last March 2011 and defeated Christina Domke by a second round TKO. In her next bout, she finished Strikeforce Veteran Jan Finney and then Katie Merrill at Bellator 91 last February.
