“Ref Cam” Despite Being Unused at UFC on FOX 4, UFC Still Plans To Use It.

Before the UFC on FOX 4 event, UFC and FOX Sports announced it will use a  “Ref Cam” for the said event.

However, the plan did not push through, as the camera was not in fact used during the event. UFC President Dana White said that the cam is still a work in progress and will be used again in the near future.

Craig Borsari told the UFC top honcho after the post-event conference, “We didn’t use it tonight.”

“They never put it in the live telecast. There were some good looks, but not good enough to put in the live telecast. We’re going to keep making tweaks,” he added.

Had the “ref cam” came into use, it would have marked the first time that such technology will be used inside UFC’s cage.

PRIDE FC was the first to have used such similar technology.
